harvest crew lead: 1 Full-time position

We are looking for a harvest crew lead to join our team for the 2026 season. This person will lead a crew of 3 through harvest, wash, and pack for our weekly CSA/farm stand, restaurant orders, and farmers market.

During the shoulder season, harvest is two full days a week, and once the fruits kick in, some amount of harvest happens Monday-Friday. You will work closely with us during training for the first 6-8 weeks.

This job also includes field work as well at least one day a week and up to three days a week. Our harvest season begins mid May and goes until November. There is more field work in March, April, Oct., and Nov.

Details:

  • Shifts are 4 or 5 days a week, Monday-Thursday OR Monday-Friday. 32-40 hr/week

  • Shifts are approximately 8-9 hours with a 30-45 minute unpaid lunch break.

    • field/harvest days 8am-4/5pm (weather and season may shift start time earlier or later)

    • market day 1pm-8:30pm

    • CSA/Farmstand/Delivery 11:30am-7pm

  • Rolling start date from mid March to mid April

  • End date mid to late November

  • Full season commitment required

  • Pay starts at $20/hr DOE

  • Weekly CSA share

  • extra vegetables when available

  • $150 gear stipend after training completed

Our ideal candidate: 

  • Has excellent interpersonal communication skills.

  • Has developed time and people management skills.

  • Able to balance attention to detail with speed and efficiency, and understand when to lean one way or the other.

  • Is proficient at basic mental math

  • Good at record keeping

  • Has had experience with all of the primary tasks associated with harvest and post harvest

  • At least one, but ideally 2 full seasons on a commercial vegetable farm

  • Experience with managing people

Please note that farm work is physically demanding and can be repetitive. The work requires repeated bending, lifting, and lots of standing. You must be able to lift 40# off of the ground.

We work in all weather conditions. The Oregon Coast can be a very wet place. close-toed shoes, Waterproof boots, jacket, and bibs/pants are a requirement.

You must have access to transportation to and from the farm.
