1 paid internship position open

This position is open to students in Tillamook County between the ages of 16 and 24. Come learn the ins and outs of small-scale, organic vegetable farming.

Duties include:

  • Harvest, wash, and pack veggies for our weekly sales outlets. We will train you on our high quality, cleanliness and consistency standards for our veggie products. You will play a crucial role in maintaining those standards. This work is fast paced, we use sharp knives, and harvest a lot of food in a day. It is fun and satisfying skilled work. As with all skills, you will build proficiency with effort and time.

  • Field work (i.e. planting, bed prep, weeding, trellising etc.).

  • Their is a heavier emphasis on field work during the shoulder seasons, and more harvest/wash/pack during the main summer season. The weekly work flow adjusts accordingly.

  • 2-3 days/week, $16/hr plus veggies

Our ideal candidate: 

  • Consistently prompt and reliable

  • Comfortable with physically demanding work in all weather conditions

  • Basic knowledge of eating and buying vegetables

  • Detail oriented, focused and enjoys fast paced work.

  • Proficient at doing basic math in their head.

Please note that farm work is physically demanding and can be repetitive. The work requires repeated bending, lifting, and lots of standing. You will need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs off of the ground safely. We’ve made investments in systems and equipment to minimize wear and tear on our bodies, but the work is still physically demanding.

Previous farm, restaurant, or team sport experience valued but not required.

Our Hiring process:

  • We review applications as we receive them. We will contact you within one week.

  • First interviews will be via zoom/Google Meet. Approximately 30-45 mins.

  • Second interviews will be in person, on farm if within driving distance. Approximately 1 hour.
